Prideaux Acupuncture is a small, friendly acupuncture practice located just outside St Blazey in South Cornwall.
Set in the tranquil surroundings of Prideaux on the edge of the Luxulyan Valley, Prideaux Acupuncture is run by Sue Newton, BA (Hons), Lic.Ac, MBAcC.
Sue is an experienced practitioner who is a full member of the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC). She holds a First Class Honours Degree in Traditional Acupuncture from Oxford Brookes University and a Licentiate in Acupuncture from the College of Traditional Acupuncture (formerly in Leamington Spa). Sue has also completed a further two-year course in Traditional Chinese Medicine at the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine in Reading.
Sue continues to be actively involved in an on-going programme of continuing professional development.
Sue Newton is a full member of the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC) , which is the main professional body for acupuncturists in the UK and the leading self-regulatory body for the practice of traditional acupuncture in the UK. It is a founder member of the Professional Standards Authority Accredited Voluntary Register (AVR).
As a member of the British Acupuncture Council Sue is required to keep to a Code of Safe Practice and maintain high standards of ethics and conduct, ensuring the health and safety of patients at all times. Sue established and ran a very busy and well respected practice in Winchcombe, Gloucestershire for over 10 years. She established Prideaux Acupuncture in 2014 when she achieved a long-held ambition of relocating to Cornwall.
